Ohio State Patrol pursuit ends in Dayton when pursued vehicle crashes

A pursuit involving the Ohio State Highway Patrol that began in Greene County has ended with a crash of the pursued car in Dayton and troopers are looking for the driver.

The incident is believed to involve an expired license plate, a dispatcher with the Dayton post said.

The driver refused to stop on Colonel Glenn Highway just after midnight and pursuit continued onto I-675, to U.S. 35 West and into the city of Dayton at James H. McGee Boulevard.

The pursuit continued along several city streets and ended when the silver Chevrolet crashed at Kammer Avenue and North Kilmer Street in Dayton. The driver reportedly fled.
