ODOT invites your comments on 2020 reconstruction of Ohio 444 in Fairborn

You have until June 14 to offer comments and feedback about a 2020 road project that calls for the reconstruction of Ohio 444, from West Lindberg to Dayton drives.

>> ODOT District 7 seeks comments on projects

The project involving Ohio 444 (Central and Kauffman avenues) is to begin in June 2020 and be completed by November 2020, City Engineer Thomas (Lee) Harris said in a letter sent to residents in mid-May.

The project will replace full depth pavement and curbs along the corridor. New storm sewers will be added to improve drainage and curb ramps will be updated to current standards where needed.

No right-of-way will be needed for the project. All work is to be performed within existing right-of-way and city owned property.

Once construction begins, the southbound lane through the project corridor will be maintained but the northbound lane will have to be closed. A detour will have to be used for the duration of the project.

Access to properties will be maintained at all times.

The city project is being done in coordination with the Ohio Department of Transportation.

ODOT officials welcome your comments and feedback and will accept submissions until June 14. Send comments and feedback to:
