New hospice on UVMC campus nearly completed; $2 million needed to furnish facility

MIAMI COUNTY — Ohio Hospice is well underway with its construction of a new hospice house to support the increasing need for end-of-life care in Miami County.

The new stand-alone facility will have 12 patient-care rooms located on the campus of Upper Valley Medical Center near Troy. The construction is nearing completion.

Ohio Hospice has launched an additional two million dollar phase to the 12-million capital campaign for the purchase of state-of-art equipment and to furnish the home.

Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County has been serving the area since 1983.
