— A Belmont coffee shop that opened four months ago on Watervliet Avenue applied last week for a license to offer wine samples to customers and to sell wine for carryout.
Press Coffee Bar, which opened Feb. 19 at 732 Watervliet Ave. near South Smithville Road, submitted its application to the Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Liquor Control on June 12. The application is pending.
Janelle Barker, co-founder and co-owner of Press Coffee Bar with her husband, Brett, said this week that she did not want to discuss details of her plans for the licenses until the applications are approved by the state.
