UPDATE: Power restored to nearly 2,000 in Kettering after reported crash on Bigger Road

KETTERING — UPDATE @ 9:54 a.m.:

Power has been restored to the nearly 2,000 DP&L customers who lost service, according to the DP&L outage map.

FIRST REPORT:

Dayton Power and Light are reporting over 1,900 people are without power in Kettering Wednesday morning, possibly caused by a crash on Bigger Road.

The crash was reported on Bigger Road just south of East Whipp Road around 8 a.m. Initial reports indicate a single-vehicle was involved and crashed into a utility pole.

Not long after the crash report, a DP&L outage map indicated the outage in the same area of the crash.

No injuries were reported in the crash, according to initial reports.

An estimated time for the power to be restored is 10 a.m., according to DP&L’s outage map.
