DAYTON — UPDATE @ 4:35 p.m.: The suspect in Friday's standoff in Dayton has been identified as 18-year-old Daeshun McFarland.
He has been booked into the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of resisting arrest and inducing panic charges. McFarland also has a warrant through juvenile court.
UPDATE @ 10:46 a.m.:
A man has surrendered to police and has been handcuffed following a standoff in the 400 block of Oxford Avenue this morning.
Officers were at the house for a warrant out of Moraine for kidnapping and aggravated robbery, according to police.

The man came out with his hands up and met with officers.
SWAT officers then entered the home to search it.
We’re working to confirm the man’s identity.
INITIAL REPORT:
A standoff is underway on Oxford Avenue in Dayton this morning after multiple officers were requested to the area.
Officers responded to the 400 block around 9 a.m.
Initial emergency dispatch reports indicated a person ran into a home in the area and has not come out.
Roads in the area have been shut down, according to dispatch traffic.
