Roof destroyed in apartment fire in Enon Sunday; Residents displaced

ENON — UPDATE @ 12:47 p.m.:

The roof of an apartment building on South Harrison Street in Enon was destroyed in a fire Sunday morning.

Residents will have to find another place to stay tonight as fire crews continue to investigate what caused the burn.

Initial surveying found that the fire may have started in the center of the building then spread out to surrounding areas.

Estimated cost of damages is not yet available according to crews on scene.

Crews are working to put out a large apartment fire that was reported on South Harrison Street early Sunday morning.

Multiple emergency units have been requested from surrounding agencies to help contain the fire.

Initial reports indicate the building has been evacuated and crews are working to put out spot fires in the building.
