DAYTON — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Montgomery County Combined Agency OVI Task Force released the results of their OVI checkpoint in Washington Township Friday night.

It was held in the area of State Route 725 near Paragon Road from 7 pm. and 11 p.m., according to a spokesperson.
Nearly 680 cars passed through the checkpoint and three citations were issued to those driving under suspension.

Two were cited for expired plates, three were tested for possible OVI and one was arrested for OVI.
There was also an OVI arrest of a person involved in a head-on crash that occurred near the checkpoint, the spokesperson said.
Deputies and officers will be out conducting OVI saturation patrols for the remainder of the St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
