Three-week-old Marley Hennon is still in critical condition, but Abbott said he’s progressing.
Doctors at Dayton Children’s Hospital are even thinking that they can remove Marley’s breathing tube within the next day or so, according to Abbott.

“I thank Children’s so much for how fay they’ve gotten him,” she said. “I can’t stress how thankful I am for them.”

Despite making progress, Marley isn’t in the clear.

“I have to literally watch my son...and not know if he’s going to make it or not,” Abbott said. “[Doctors] still don’t know. So I don’t have words to express how I feel.”

Brent Hennon II, 19, was charged with felonious assault after Hennon reported that Marley was having issues breathing last Friday.

Marley has “multiple skull fractures as well as fractures of ribs and extremities,” according to a police report.

Abbott said she’s never seen signs of violence from Hennon during their four-year relationship.

“I could’ve never imagined anything like this,” she said. “I don’t know what happened...but if these accusations are true, I hope that he gets what he deserves and that he’s in there for a very long time.”

Police are reportedly investigating to see if Hennon had previously injured Marley or his 2-year-old son.
