Police: Missing Springfield woman has been located

SPRINGFIELD — UPDATE @ 7:45 a.m: The 48-year-old woman that was reported missing out of Springfield is safe, according to officials.

Billie Jean Canterbury was reported missing last month after she hadn’t made contact with her sister since July.

Springfield police say that Canterbury informed them she was safe.

Springfield police are asking for the public’s help finding on a missing woman.

Billie Jean Canterbury, 48, was reported missing on Sept. 27, according to police.

Canterbury reportedly has congestive heart failure.

Her sister said she hasn’t had contact with Canterbury since July, according to police.

Canterbury is a white woman with black hair and brown eyes and is 120 pounds and 5’7”.

Anyone who has seen Canterbury or has information about her whereabouts is asked to contact Springfield police at 937-324-7716.
