MILWAUKEE — UPDATE @ 7:56 p.m.: Milwaukee police officers shot and killed a wanted suspect during a traffic stop Monday evening, police Chief Alfonso Morales said.
The suspect reportedly exited the vehicle with a gun during the stop when two Milwaukee officers shot and killed him, Morales said.
Neither officer suffered any injuries, and both have been placed on administrative leave.
The suspect was wanted on active warrants for domestic violence and probation violation, Morales said.
INITIAL STORY: Milwaukee police are on scene for a fatal officer-involved shooting in the city’s south side, police say.
Police say the shooting occurred around 5 p.m. CST in the 1000 block of South 10th Street.
This is the second reported fatal shooting involving a Milwaukee police officer in the last three weeks.

Officer Michael J. Michalski, 52, was shot while pursuing a drug suspect July 25, and was pronounced dead at Froedtert Hospital.
Milwaukee police Chief Morales is set to speak with the media at 6:45 p.m. CST. A medical examiner has been called to the scene.
