Mercer County deputies recover child porn, arrest man after search warrants

CELINA — A previously convicted sex offender was arrested again this morning after deputies found child porn during several search warrants.

Glen Sharrock, 51, of Celina, was booked into jail on five counts of pandering child porn and is being held without bond.

He was arrested at his home in the 3600 block of Ohio route 703.

Sharrock was previously a registered sex offender and his registration requirements had ended in August 2019. He had been convicted on child porn charges previously in Indiana in 2009.

The most recent investigation was opened on April 20, when Mercer County deputies were contacted by Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children. That investigation led to several search warrants.

“Evidence recovered from the search warrants were several sexually explicit photos of juveniles which were linked to Sharrock’s media accounts,” Sheriff Jeff Grey said in a statement.

The case is being reviewed by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office to determine if any additional charges will be filed.
