Medical issue investigated as possible factor in Miamisburg crash

MIAMISBURG — Medical issues are being investigated as a possible factor in a crash that left a driver with serious injuries in Miamisburg Wednesday morning.

Police and medics were called to a crash reported on Miamisburg Centerville Road near Byers Road around 7:20 a.m.

One driver in the crash suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment, police said.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, however police said they are looking at a medical issue as being a potential cause of the driver’s injuries and a factor in the crash.

Police blocked lanes on Miamisburg Centerville Road for hours for the crash investigation but cleared the scene around 10:15 a.m.

At least one other crash was reported in the area while police were investigating the first crash.
