DAYTON — UPDATE @ 4:30 a.m. (Sept. 7):
The man suspected of breaking into an area church and then leading Dayton police on a foot chase Thursday morning has been identified.
Thomas Stevenson Andrews, 32, is currently in Montgomery County Jail on breaking and entering charges, according to the jail site.
His next court appearance is scheduled for this afternoon.
One male suspect is in custody after leading Dayton police on a foot chase following an alleged break-in that occurred at a church on the corner of East Fifth Street.

Police say they responded to Holy Family Catholic Church, located at the corner of East Fifth and South Findlay Streets, after an anonymous caller reported that a suspicious person was going in and out of the church with bags around 4:30 a.m.
When police arrived on scene and spotted the alleged burglar, he dropped the bags and started running towards Gerlaugh Avenue.
After a short foot pursuit, the man was apprehended by authorities.
He will face preliminary breaking and entering charges and possibly more charges pending the investigation, police say.
