Man flown to hospital after being hit by truck behind Middletown business

MIDDLETOWN — UPDATE @ 9:55 a.m.: One person was flown to an area hospital after being struck this morning in the parking lot at 1301 Hook Drive, according to Middletown police.

Officers responded at about 7 a.m. today on a report of a subject struck by a vehicle. Officers located a victim who was struck by a fellow employee as he was crossing the parking lot.

The victim was flown to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton by CareFlight for treatment.

The accident is under investigation by the Middletown Police and the Ohio State Patrol.

FIRST REPORT:

A man was hit by a pickup truck behind a Middletown business on Hook Drive this morning.

The man’s injuries were believed to be serious, according to initial reports. He was flown to an area hospital for treatment, authorities said.

The victim was crossing the parking lot of Independent Sheet Metals around 7 a.m. when he was struck by a fellow employee, according to a Middletown police press release.
