Man facing 20 sex related charges could face life in prison

A man facing 20 sex related charges, including nine counts of rape involving a child under the age of 13, is expected to appear in court Wednesday.

Anthony Moore, 36, was indicted at the end of July on seven counts of gross sexual imposition, nine counts of rape of a victim under the age of 13, three counts of forceable rape and a single count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, according to court records.

Moore, if convicted, could face life in prison, court records said.

The victim was known to Moore and police do not suspect any other people were in danger.

Moore is expected in court for a final pre-trial hearing Wednesday, ahead of his scheduled trial on Sept. 11.
