Male shot walking down the street in Dayton, Police looking for suspect

DAYTON — Dayton Police are looking for a suspect after a male was shot while walking down the 2900 block of Wexford Place in Dayton.

The victim was shot in the leg and taken to Miami Valley Hospital, but investigators are unsure who caused the incident.

The age of the male has not yet been disclosed.

Investigators are working to learn more details including whether or not this was a drive-by shooting.

One person was removed from the scene for misconduct during an emergency, an officer on scene told News Center 7.

The victim’s injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
