Looking for a job? U.S. Postal Service hosting job fair in Dayton next week

DAYTON — The United States Postal Service will look to hire 90 people for a variety of positions in the region during a job fair in Dayton next week.

The job fair will be held Aug. 4 at the Dayton Main Post Office, at 1111 East Fifth Street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a USPS spokesperson said in a media release Thursday.

Open positions include city carrier assistants, mail handler assistants, and postal support employees that all perform mail handling, processing, driving, delivery, or a combination of each, the spokesperson said. Starting salaries are between $16.87 and $18.69 per hour.

Applicants must be at least 18-years-old and be able to pass a background check and medical assessment, the spokesperson said. USPS human resources specialists will be in attendance during the job fair to answer questions and share details about the positions.
