Local churches hold donation drives for Texans in need

Declare, a nonprofit organization in Dayton has partnered with churches across the Miami Valley to provide aid to those affected by the Texas snowstorm.

In a Facebook post, Declare is asking people to donate cases of water, diapers, baby formula, adult diapers, nutritional shakes, towels, linens, and shop vacs.

Other supplies they ask for include diapers, baby formula, adult diapers, Ensure (drink), towels, linens and shop vacs.

In the post, Declare said, “These items are needed by hospitals, jails, schools and residents…”

Churches partnered with Declare are offering drop-off times on February 22nd and 23rd.

Locations and drop-off times:

  • Living Word Church at 250 North Cassel Road in Vandalia from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pull around to the back of the building.
  • Hopeland Church at 6025 Miller Lane in Dayton from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • The Valley Church at 916 North Market Street in Troy from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The non-profit group said they will be making two trips over the next few days with various types of deliveries.
