Marcus A. Casey, 38, faces two third-degree felony charges of aggravated vehicular assault and one misdemeanor of OVI. He pleaded not guilty during arraignments on charges issued by the county grand jury.

The indictments accuse Casey of causing serious harm to a man and a woman March 3, 2018, while driving with cocaine metabolites in his system.

The people were injured in a crash on Ohio 49 near Ohio 721 in western Miami County, said Paul Watkins, assistant county prosecutor. The injured were taken for treatment by CareFlight helicopter, he said.
