Kettering Health Network issues warning about vaccine scams

MIAMI VALLEY — Officials at Kettering Health Network are warning patients of a potential vaccination scam after several reports of people trying to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment on a website that asks for their bank information.

These sites look to be affiliated with Kettering Health Network.

In a statement, officials warned against these potential scams and reminded patients that they will never ask for the following information when scheduling COVID-19 vaccinations:

  • Full social security number
  • Bank account information
  • Credit card information
  • Early access fee or payment

This is not the first vaccine scam people have had to look out for. Because of that, Kettering Health Network wants patients to know that if an employee must call you about your appointment, they will identify themselves as a network employee and will call from a 937 area code phone number.

Kettering Health Network will only schedule vaccination appointments online at ketteringhealth.org/coronavirus or by phone at 1-844-576-3627.
