Keowee Street Bridge update: ‘good progress’ being made on $12M project

The $12 million Keowee Street Bridge project is roughly 35 percent complete, according to county officials.

Both abutments, sections of the bridge built to support the pressure of an arch or span, are just about finished, according to a statement the Montgomery County engineer released Wednesday.

Two out of the three piers are complete. After the third is built, bridge beams will be set.
