Eurest Services, which was previously contracted by Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) to provide facilities support at Procter & Gamble facilities across Southwest Ohio, will be discontinuing service for the facility’s property management company on Nov. 10.
Eurest issued a statement Wednesday following a Sept. 5 WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) notice informing various state and local entities that “a plant closing will occur at Eurest Services operations at Procter & Gamble” locations in Butler, Hamilton and Warren counties.
Although characterized by the company in the WARN notice as “a plant closing,” Eurest spokeswoman Jenna Wilson said that was not accurate.
“We are not closing any ‘plants’ or facilities and we are not eliminating jobs,” Wilson told this news outlet today.
The 79 positions managed by Eurest Services under the JLL contract will continue to be overseen by JLL or could transition to the new support services contractor, she said.
“While Eurest Services and JLL’s relationship is ending at Procter & Gamble, Eurest Services continues to expand its relationship with P&G,” Wilson said. “Some of the current personnel will be retained by Eurest Services following the transition to be repositioned to operations at Procter & Gamble facilities.
Eurest Services will also be hiring additional personnel to support the P&G contract, Wilson said.
“Eurest Services values its partnership with Procter & Gamble and looks forward to continuing to create stellar workplace environments for its team,” she said.
Eurest Services is “a premier facility services provider, offering leading national business and industry organizations a comprehensive range of self-performed and managed services,” according to the company’s website. Its services team consists of 4,000 associates working across 44 states.
The 79 jobs affected were reported in the WARN notice as being located in the following Procter & Gamble locations:
• 1 Procter & Gamble Plaza, Cincinnati (31 jobs)
• Procter & Gamble, 6083 Center Hill Avenue, Cincinnati (17 jobs)
• 8700 Mason Montgomery Road, Mason (12 jobs)
• 5299 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati (9 jobs)
• 8256 Union Centre Blvd., West Chester Twp. (8 jobs)
• 11510 Reed Hartman Highway, Blue Ash (2 jobs)
