Toddler in critical condition after drive-by shooting in Hamilton

HAMILTON — UPDATE (Nov. 23 @1:30 a.m.): A 22-month-old is in critical condition after being shot in a drive-by shooting in Hamilton Wednesday night, according to our media partners at WCPO-TV in Cincinnati.

Hamilton Police say they were dispatched to the 100 block of Lulu Avenue around 9:34 p.m. for a child who had been shot, per a media release.

Neighbors said a gunman drove past the house twice and fired multiple shots both times.

“You could tell it was the same car from the sound of the tires,” the neighbor said.

Police say the mother carried the child out of the house and drove them to the hospital before they arrived.

The toddler, whose name was not released, was then transferred to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where they are still in intensive care unit, according to friends of the family.

Hamilton police have not said if an arrest has been made in the case, according to our media partners.

The incident remains under investigation.
