UPDATE @ 10 a.m.:

As of 10 a.m., many of these outages have been addressed, particularly the outage in the Greenville area. However, a new, smaller outages has appeared in the Ansonia area and small outages remain widespread.

The total number of people without power has dropped by more than half, with a total of 1,213 people without power, according to the DP&L outage map.

INITIAL REPORT:

More than 2,500 Dayton Power & Light customers, mostly in Darke County, are without power this morning as thunderstorms pass through the Miami Valley.

According to the online outage map, 1,532 people are without power in Darke County in the Greenville area, with 433 missing power near Botkins in Shelby County and 482 missing power near Belle Center in Logan County. The rest are isolated outages across the coverage area.

Estimated restoration time is 8 a.m. in Darke County, 10 a.m. in Shelby County, and 12:30 p.m. in Logan County.
