Hill is accused of shooting Faith Guffey in the head on Oct. 11 on the porch of a vacant house.

Witnesses told detectives Hill was angry with Guffey because she stole his cell phone last week, court documents obtained by News Center 7 in a public records request.

Guffey died at the hospital.

Hill was released from prison in July after serving 28 years for a prior attempted murder conviction.

He’s being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $1 million bond and will be arraigned on the charges next week.
