Greene County to host Party in the Park, ribbon-cutting at Fairgrounds

Greene County Parks & Trails (GCP&T) will be hosting a free Party in the Park at the Fairgrounds Recreation Center, 210 Fairground Road on Tuesday, August 20.

The event, from 4 to 8 p.m., will feature inflatable water slides, a car cruise-in, food, activities and more.

At 6 p.m., there’ll be a ribbon-cutting for a new playground, a renovated picnic shelter and two new sets of basketball goals.

“It’s a family recreation center,” GCP&T Director Jon Dobney said. “We want everyone -- kids, parents, grandparents -- to come out as a group, to exercise, to enjoy the outdoors and create memories.”
