CENTERVILLE — The grandmother of a 4-year-old girl found wandering North Main Street alone last week has been charged.
Vanessa Champion, 63, is facing one count of child endangering, Centerville police announced Monday.
Police issued a public plea Thursday morning to help find the girl’s parents.
The 4-year-old was found in good health, but wasn’t wearing any shoes.
Around 11:45 a.m. Thursday, police reported they had found the girl’s parents.
“We are currently investigating what led up to the child being found alone,” John Davis, community relations officer said in a media release.
