XENIA — A 71-year-old sheep farmer in Greene County has been indicted on 19 sex-related charges involving a minor.
A grand jury indicted William Randy Rife, owner of Rife Shropshire Farms on Clifton Road in Miami Twp., Greene County, on nine counts of sexual battery, a third-degree felony, three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, third-degree felony, and gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony, according to court records.
Rife was arrested in December after the father of a teenager who had worked on Rife’s farm filed a report with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.
After news spread of Rife’s arrest, more people came forward with similar allegations, according to Sheriff Gene Fischer.
It is unclear if the indictments involve one or more alleged victims.
