DAYTON, Ohio — Officials with the state Controlling Board are set to approve $2.2 million in state funding for the new Goodwill/Easter Seals project in Dayton.
The funding will be used to help with environmental cleanup efforts.
Goodwill said it plans to build a new facility on South Main Street in Dayton, but it first must remove asbestos and other waste from the property.
The project will include a new 80,000-square foot headquarters building. Goodwill/Easter Seals Miami Valley said it plans to invest $10 million to redevelop the property.
The organization also said it will retain 125 jobs and create another 50 new jobs.
Officials said Miami Valley Hospital is also investing in the project.
