‘Give a Pint, Get a Pint’ blood drive scheduled for July

ENGLEWOOD — A local blood drive is continuing its tradition of giving away free ice cream to those who donate.

Fairview Brethren in Christ Church will be hosting JD’s Old Fashioned Frozen Custard 16th annual “Give a Pint, Get a Pint” blood drive on Thursday, July 1.

The annual event rewards those who give blood with a coupon for a free pint of JD’s Frozen Custard.

In a release, organizers noted that the Community Blood Center is currently in need of blood during the July 4th holiday period, when there is a high demand for blood in emergency rooms.

“Give a Pint, Get a Pint” will run from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on July 1 at 750 Union Blvd. in Englewood.

Walk-in are accepted as the space allows.
