Police: Woman stabs boyfriend in dispute over ring

EATON — A 32-year-old Eaton woman was arrested Friday after police said she stabbed her boyfriend during a dispute over a ring, police said.

Carolyn Mackey was arrested on suspicion of felonious assault, domestic violence and possession of drug abuse instruments, Eaton police said. She is being held in the Preble County Jail without bond.

The stabbing was reported around 4 p.m. in the 200 block of West Main Street at a residence, where both the victim and Mackey lived, officers said.

The victim was stabbed in the hip area and his injuries were not considered serious, investigators said.
