— Gas demand has hit its lowest level in nearly two years, pushing state and local prices to be cheaper, according to AAA release.
Miami Valley motorists are seeing an average of $2 per gallon, which is 24-cents cheaper than last month and 40-cents cheaper than last year.
Ohio is also one of nine states with the least expensive average in the country, with prices sitting at $1.95 per gallon for regular gas, the release stated.
According to the latest Energy Information Administration (EIA) data, gas demand was 8.6 million b/d for the week ending December 28, the lowest level on record since February 2017.
