HARRISON TWP., Montgomery County — UPDATE @ 4:35 p.m.
The family of 14-year-old Chelsea Renee Bowman, who was killed in a crash on Frederick Pike Monday, is working on finalizing funeral arrangements with Swart & Wolfe Funeral Home in West Carrollton.
Bowman was a passenger in a Dodge Neon that struck a Honda CRV head-on in the 6000 block of Frederick Pike. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.
The funeral home, located at 207 E. Central Ave., West Carrollton, OH 45449, is accepting donations on the family’s behalf to help defray the funeral costs. The family’s also set up a GoFundme page.

The 14-year-old girl killed in the crash has been identified as Chelsea Bowman, Dayton, according to the Montgomery County coroner’s office.
The crash occurred just after 1 p.m. when a silver 2004 Dodge Neon was traveling south on Frederick Pike and attempted to pass a blue 2004 Suzuki Forenza, which was also traveling south on Frederick Pike, according to a press release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office.
While attempting to pass, the Dodge Neon went left of center, clipping the Suzuki Forenza and striking a maroon 2001 Honda CRV head on that was traveling north on Frederick Pike. Bowman was ejected from the Dodge Neon and died as a result of the collision, the release said.
A total of three people were transported to area hospitals by medics; two suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Services Unit.
We’ve confirmed that the victim in the crash is a 14-year-old girl whose has not been identified. We will report her identity as soon as it becomes available.
UPDATE @ 1:34 p.m.:
At least one person is dead in the crash on Frederick Pike, according to deputies.
UPDATE @ 1:30 p.m.:
At least two vehicles are involved in a crash that has deputies blocking Frederick Pike between Beejay Court and Philadelphia Drive.
Multiple medics from multiple jurisdictions responded to the crash in the 6000 block around 1 p.m.
The severity of injuries involved was not immediately known.
A crash with possible injuries has been reported on Frederick Pike this afternoon.
