First part of $13M parking upgrade complete at Dayton International Airport

The first phase of reconstructing the Dayton International Airport economy lot is now complete, and that portion of the lot is open.

Renovations include 900 reconstructed parking spaces and 12 spaces compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act next to the shuttle bus stops. Also, LED lighting and overhead light pole row signage will improve safety and help travelers find their parking spaces.

The construction, which began two months ago, is part of a $13 million project to upgrade parking at the airport.

Numerous signs help guide customers to available parking locations, including the $4.95 daily rate economy and 1,600-space overflow lots, or the long-term lot, garage or valet parking options.

The second phase is underway. The Cell Phone Wait Lot will be closed through July while that lot and the PSA Airlines parking lot are renovated.

All construction is expected to be complete by mid-October.
