Firefighters were able to knock down the fire quickly, which caused damage to the apartment and a neighboring unit.

No occupants were inside the nearby apartment that suffered damage. RedCross was not requested because the displaced residents, who were not injured, will stay with family, officials say.

Investigators were called to the scene to determine what caused the fire and estimate damages.
