Chief: Man, woman who pulled resident from Jefferson Twp. house fire ‘very brave’

UPDATE @ 10:02 p.m.:  A man and woman from Huber Heights who pulled a resident from burning home are "very brave. Probably the person's alive because of their actions," Jefferson Twp. Battalion Chief Gregory Wilcox said.

Investigators have not determined whether a kerosene heater is the cause of the fire on Germantown Pike.

Flames were coming from multiple windows when crews arrived, Wilcox said. Flames eventually made their way through the roof.

Wilcox said he had no information about the victim's age or condition. The victim, the man and woman were not on scene when crews arrived, Wilcox said.

Crews from West Carrollton, Moraine, Trotwood and Dayton also assisted the Jefferson Twp. crews.
