Family friend’s dog attacks child in Fairborn

FAIRBORN — A child was attacked Tuesday afternoon by a family friend’s dog.

Police and medics were dispatched around 3:40 p.m. to the 300 block of Williams Street.

Upon arrival, police said medics were in the process of taking the child bitten by the dog to Dayton Children’s Hospital. The extent of the child’s injuries was unknown.

The child’s mother had been watching the dog for a friend, police said.
