FAIRBORN — Fairborn City Schools announced a tentative 2018 groundbreaking of a new primary school.
Voters approved funding construction of new primary and intermediate school buildings at the ballot box in November when a 2.95-mil bond levy passed with nearly 60 percent, according to election night results.
“This process takes time and as the planning stages begin to unfold, I will be sharing information with the staff and community,” said Superintendent Mark North in a statement.
The tentative timeline for the groundbreaking is as follows:
» Feb. 21 - Architect/engineers kickoff meeting
» Feb. 23 - Owner agent interviews
» Feb. 28 - Announcement of owner agent selection
» June 9 - Start of schematic design
» Sep. 5 - Start of design development
» Nov. 30 - Construction documents in process
» Feb. 5, 2018 - Construction documents completed
» May 2018 - Groundbreaking for Fairborn Primary School
