Cox spent this season coaching at Franklin High School. Prior to that, he led Talawanda to its very first home playoff win. He was previously named AP SW Ohio Coach of the Year in 2019.

Cox spent the bulk of his coaching career as the head coach at Lakota West High School. In his 21 seasons there, set the record for the most wins in Lakota Local Schools’ history.

Over 150 players have been assisted by Cox in their recruitment to play football at the collegiate level. More than 50 were Division 1 players.
