Man arrested for OVI threatens police after plowing parked vehicles

Dayton police booked Oscar R. Guzman Gonzalez, 37, into Montgomery County Jail for menacing and OVI in this incident Wednesday.

Guzman is accused of striking several parked vehicles with a 2006 Nissan Maxima, which officers found to have heavy damage, police said. It was resting on a small concrete retaining wall.

Guzman was reportedly unable to stand on his own, smelled of alcohol, and had a cut on his chin, according to the police report.

Guzman reportedly became “belligerent” and was “making gang signs.” He also cursed at officers and threatened physical violence, according to the police report.

The suspect told police, “I’m a gangster and you gonna (sic) be sorry. I’m gonna kick your (expletive),” reads the police report.


A driver believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol hit at least four parked vehicles in the 100 block of South Findlay Street in Dayton, police Sgt. Joseph Setty said.

No one else was injured, the sergeant said. 

Police have detained the man, who was driving a white vehicle. 

Police and a medic unit were dispatched about 7:20 p.m. on a report of an injury accident.
