SB lanes reopen after driver crashes, ends up on side in Dayton

The southbound lanes of South Gettysburg Avenue have now reopened.

UPDATE @ 4:45 p.m.:

A male driver of an SUV has non-life threatening injuries after his vehicle turned on its side Sunday afternoon, according to Moraine police officers.

An SUV struck a Sedan after police reportedly followed the driver for failing to stop during a traffic stop in Moraine.

It is unknown on the cause of the crash, which is under investigation, police say.

It is also unknown if the male driver was cited.

The southbound lanes of South Gettysburg Avenue are closed and will reopen once the scene is cleared.

FIRST REPORT:

Emergency crews responded to a rollover crash in Dayton after the vehicle failed to stop during a traffic stop in Moraine.

Police and medics are on scene of the crash in the 1900 block of South Gettysburg Avenue. The crash was reported around 3:40 p.m., according to Moraine Dispatchers.

A male driver did not pull over when Moraine police attempted to initiate a traffic stop, said Moraine dispatch.

Police reportedly followed the driver until it rolled over in Gettysburg Avenue.
