Officers and medics responded to the store around 1:30 p.m. Thursday when the shooting was first reported.

Another 911 caller said he heard the shooting and turned around to see Camp falling to the ground. The caller said the shooter got in a Chevrolet Equinox and drove off from the store.

The 911 caller said the shooter was wearing a black hoodie, black pants and blue medical gloves.

A short time after the shooting police and fire crews were called to an alley behind the 1000 block of Shakespeare Avenue in Dayton after a Chevrolet Equinox was found engulfed in flames, according to dispatch records. Trotwood police also responded to the scene and a police K-9 was used in searching the area.

Police believe the vehicle is connected to the shooting.
