TROTWOOD — Dell Computer and its Dell “Keep It” Program donated 10 laptop computers and two printers to the city of Trotwood to help with the city’s long-term recovery from the Memorial Day tornadoes.
The laptops and printers will be available for use at the Trotwood Community and Cultural Center for tornado survivors who do not have access to a computer.
A Trotwood resident, James Martin, who works as a Dell account executive, was instrumental in coordinating this contribution, city leaders said.
“We are grateful for Dell Computer and our longtime Trotwood citizen, Mr. James Martin. Their contribution will help with our long-term recovery and will also assist us with the 2020 Census count, Trotwood Mayor Mary A. McDonald said in a release.
The 2020 Census requires computer access to complete, and the city said it will use these donations to eliminate that obstacle for Trotwood residents.
