Deadly shooting, crash on Needmore Road gets man 15 years in prison

HARRISON TWP., Montgomery County — A 24-year-old Dayton man will spend the next 15 years in prison after he shot and killed a man on Needmoore Road last August.

Marvin Herron was sentenced for shooting Matthew Aalim.

Police responded to a crash in the 1600 block of Needmore and found Aalim severely hurt inside the car.

After getting to the hospital, it was discovered he had been shot in the head and he died from his injuries.

Harron shot Aalim while he was inside a different vehicle in the area.

The driver of the car Harron was in, Jamichael Clark, pleaded guilty to obstructing justice and failure to report a crime. Clark is still awaiting sentencing.
