LATEST: Coroner’s office IDs man found in vehicle in Dayton, shot to death

UPDATE @ 11:13 p.m.: Michael Johnson, 43, has been identified as the person found shot to death in a vehicle on Huron Avenue in Dayton, a Montgomery County Coroner's investigator said.

Johnson is a Dayton resident. No other information was available.

Dayton police are investigating after a man was found in a vehicle, shot to death.

Officers responded to the 700 block Huron Avenue about 10:10 a.m.

Dayton police homicide detectives have responded to the scene as well, according to dispatch records.

Initial emergency dispatch traffic indicated police received a call after someone may have been found shot in a vehicle.

Dayton police said the man had been shot multiple times and there are multiple shell casings near the vehicle.
