Dayton man accused of distributing drug mixture resulting in multiple overdoses

MINNESOTA — A Dayton man has been indicted by a federal grand jury with distributing a drug mixture that resulted in five overdoses.

Kelsey Williams, 40, was arrested in Tuesday in Minnesota. He was indicted in a federal court Friday.

Williams allegedly distributed a fentanyl and cocaine mixture responsible for three fatal and two nonfatal overdoses in the late hours of New Year’s Eve and into the early hours of New Year’s Day 2019.

According to Acting United States Attorney for the Souther District of Ohio, Vipal J. Patel, distributing a controlled substance that results in death or serious bodily injury is a federal crime. It is punishable by up 20 years to life in prison.
