DAYTON — UPDATE @11 a.m.
Darrion Oliver has been sentenced to 13 years in prison after he was convicted of rape and kidnapping.
A 21-year-old woman said that Oliver offered her a ride home after a concert. Instead, he drove the victim to a Gondert Avenue residence and sexually assaulted her.
A 39-year-old Dayton man who is accused of raping multiple women at gunpoint is scheduled to be sentenced in court today, records show.
Darrion Oliver was indicted in August of last year for two counts of rape by force and one count of kidnapping for sexual activity stemming from a July 15 incident.
A 21-year-old woman said that Oliver offered her a ride home after a concert at Oddbody’s, according to a press release. Instead, he drove the victim to a Gondert Avenue residence and sexually assaulted her.
At the time, prosecutors urged other potential victims to report any incidents, and two more women came forward to accuse Oliver of sexually assaulting them as well, according to the prosecutor’s office.
In September, Oliver was indicted on additional counts: eight counts of rape by force; two counts of kidnapping for sexual activity; two counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon; and two counts of having weapons while under disability.
Because he was convicted in 2007 of involuntary manslaughter and endangering children for causing the death of his 4-month-old daughter, all the additional counts except for having weapons while under disability have repeat violent offender specifications attached.
Oliver is currently being held in Montgomery County Jail.
