On June 20, Black received a kidney from his friend of 25 years, Cornwell.

A month after Black’s transplant surgery, he threw the first pitch at Sunday’s Dragons game to Cornwell.

Black is also an organ donor, having previously donated a kidney to his father.

Both Black and Cornwell said they are so thankful to be able to live life to the fullest.
