DAYTON — Dayton Children’s Hospital patients had their final move into the new multi-million dollar tower Sunday.
The event, that occurred from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. moved patients from their old spaces to brand new ones on the top two floors of the patient tower.
The tower, which broke ground back in 2014, was part of a $141 million campus renewal which offers many new amenities, including inpatient and outpatient care in one integrated space, improved technology, and world-class pediatric care.
“We knew we needed patient care facilities that could meet the ever-changing needs of pediatric health care in a family-friendly environment,” says Deborah Feldman, president and CEO at Dayton Children’s. “Our new patient care tower will help us deliver the very best care to children in our region well into the future.”
Patients have been moving to the new tower since July of this year.
